We assure that one of the most important criteria of being one step ahead for a competitive advantage is a well-trained, integrated and developed workforce fitting in with the company. For mentioned purpose, all the training and development activities are grouped under the umbrella of the Borusan Academy.

The Borusan Academy was established with the intention of creating an opportunity for all Borusan employees to develop themselves and reach their full potential, both in their work performance and in their personal lives, in the best way possible. The Borusan Academy currently offers comprehensive education and development programs that are designed to create a difference in the business processes and personal development of all Borusan employees in relation to skills, abilities and competencies.

The mission of The Borusan Academy is to train business leaders, who are focused on strategy, consistent with mutual values, high quality oriented, able to initiate organizational transformation through programs that allow for progressive development by establishing a high performance culture.

In accordance with this mission, The Borusan Academy provides for the educational and developmental needs of all its employees through joint programs offered on a comprehensive level. The education and development journey for most Borusan employees begins with the Group Orientation Program. Following that, employees take part in a 14-day Borusan Fundamental Program which is actually spread over a period of two years. During this time span Borusan employees may also choose to take part in any other personal development program at the Borusan Academy in accordance with their own desires. Depending upon their profiles, they are able to join any faculty or mutual programs simultaneously.

During the 2008 Cubic Awards Ceremony (Corporate University Best in Class), which is attended by many other corporate universities and companies offering educational consulting, the Borusan Academy received an honorary award in the category of "Best New Corporate University".

Sales Faculty was established with the mission of having sales teams that achieve sustainable growth while maintaining a customer oriented approach that is flexible enough to meet changing customer needs and expectations in an environment of increased competition. This long-term programs including a variety of contents and case studies/applied activities are jointly offered with the assistance of Sabancı University by qualified training instructors.

Since Borusan Group has been growing rapidly, we need human resources more than ever before. In order to train some of them among our employees, The Leadership Faculty at the Borusan Group was established for the purpose of training business leaders who, under ever-changing circumstances, are able to determine strategy by managing information, use resources for the attainment of results, manage change, and are capable of continually developing themselves as well as their team. The Pre-MBA equivalent lessons of Leadership programs are carried out by a qualified team of instructors, special guests, and speakers with the assistance of Sabancı University in 3 levels for 6 years.

The training at the 6 Sigma Faculty is offered by faculty instructors. The Borusan Group and Borusan Mannesmann have an effective use of the 6 Sigma methodology in its business processes. Borusan employees are able to make a big difference by learning this methodology via the 6 Sigma Faculty and implementing it in their business processes.
